These are made available within Fundaments Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), using VMware Cloud Director. This online management portal, combined with the administrative Fundaments Customer Portal, ensures ease of use, cost control, and 24/7 access to Virtual Data Center services.
VMware Cloud Director
Fundaments IaaS is linked to VMware Cloud Director: the portal for the technical management of Virtual Datacenters. A unique configuration for compute, storage, and networking can be created for every Virtual Datacenter. From the convenient web interface, any administrator can easily log in and perform daily management tasks, including:
- Configuration and deployment of servers
- Starting/stopping virtual servers
- Using console functionality for server management
- Using snapshot backups
- Monitoring IaaS components, such as compute and storage characteristics
- Managing templates and ISO files for workload deployment
- Managing networks (Network Edge services)

All variable components in Fundaments IaaS, such as compute and storage, can be consumed on a pay-as-you-go basis. This means you can choose Fundaments IaaS without commitment and consume all cloud resources on an hourly basis.
