Zerto
Zerto software is used to facilitate failover. This means you can switch between your primary and disaster recovery environments with the click of a button.
Low RPO and RTO
With Zerto, you can recover data from up to two weeks ago with a very low RPO of just a few seconds and an RTO of mere minutes.
Clear and intuitive
This allows for a rapid response to ransomware attacks.
Simple
A simple solution for disaster recovery and short-term backup.
No vendor lock-in
Zerto is compatible with various virtualization platforms and can convert virtual machines between them: Hyper-V, AWS, and VMware are all supported.
Use for one-time migrations
Can be used for one-time migrations to and from the cloud where a low RPO is required.
Virtual Protection Groups
Zerto offers the ability to protect a group of workloads using a Virtual Protection Group: this principle allows you to distinguish which workloads should be included in the disaster recovery plan.
Journalling
In the replication policies, you can specify how many data points should be included in the replication. This makes it possible to fall back not only to the most current status but also to earlier points in time. This allows the failover to be used during major changes on the primary side.

Efficient network transport
To keep data synchronized between the primary and disaster recovery locations, Zerto uses patented technology to generate as little traffic as possible. This makes it possible to replicate a local environment to a data center with the correct RPO using minimal bandwidth.
Failover testing and automation
The success of a failover concept depends entirely on the ability to test without impacting the production environment. In addition to fully configuring an alternative IP plan on the secondary side, failover processes can be automated using runbooks.
Failover
For the failover location, you can choose one of the Fundaments data centers, where a complete failover data center can be set up based on vCloud Director. A connection to the Internet and NSX firewall is provided as standard at no extra cost, ensuring that a failover connection to the migrated machines can be established at all times.
Flexibility
For failover, you can opt for the same flexibility in building blocks: storage can have different properties, allowing you to implement a failover that does not necessarily have the same performance characteristics. If you are using an on-premises-to-cloud migration, we can opt for efficient compute resource reservation. Regardless of the scenario you choose, you will always be migrating to a certified cloud environment.
