Fundaments Cloud Gateway
In addition to connections with network platforms and internet exchanges, Fundaments offers two types of connections:
1. Connectivity with the Public Cloud
2. Connectivity on our datacenter providers' platforms.
In both cases, a routed connection is established to the Public Cloud or to one of the InterXion and Equinix datacenter locations. InterXion City Cloud and Equinix Fabric both provide the ability to establish a connection between datacenters. Because both datacenter providers operate globally, this allows for connections to be established over long (inter)continental distances.
The Fundaments Cloud Gateway thus provides a network connection specifically for users operating internationally in an InterXion or Equinix datacenter and/or users of Public Cloud providers like Azure, AWS, and Google. Because this network connection is separate from the internet, this method of coupling ensures an extremely secure connection, as well as better performance in terms of bandwidth guarantees and latency. The connection is not dependent on public traffic routing, as is the case with the internet.
