Support Engineer
As a Support Engineer Infrastructure, you act as the primary (technical) contact for Fundaments' clients. Your role involves providing first-line support and addressing technical issues within the customer environment. You possess a strong passion for and wide-ranging interest in technology, alongside experience in configuring and managing Cloud solutions.
You have a diverse range of responsibilities: ensuring that changes are executed accurately and swiftly, coordinating with Cloud Engineers, and maintaining close collaboration with our clients. In this role, you represent Fundaments in terms of support excellence. You are responsible for the proper setup and delivery of new environments for both the client and Fundaments. Additionally, you handle the installation, deinstallation, and upgrading of software on both client and Fundaments' environments. Your work is predominantly reactive, with a focus on achieving high efficiency in operational tasks.
As a Cloud & Support Engineer, you are the first point of contact for our customers. Whether by phone or email, you support them with questions, requests, or incidents. You’ll be part of a team of driven engineers responsible for the daily management and continuous improvement of our cloud environments.
You’ll handle the delivery of customer environments within our virtualization clusters, and you’ll install or upgrade various operating systems and additional software. You’ll also perform changes independently and resolve software-related incidents to ensure stable and reliable service for our customers.
In addition, you’ll play an active role in migrations between hosting environments and contribute to a wide range of internal and external projects. You’ll document technical procedures and make sure they are kept up to date.

- MBO4 or HBO level of work and thinking.
- Sociable, collegial, and professional demeanor, both internally and externally.
- A good sense of humor
- Willingness to pursue personal development and participate in training courses.
- Experience with Linux and Windows
- Experience with troubleshooting hosting environments based on Apache/MySQL/PHP
- Knowledge of Infrastructure Engineering tools, techniques and methods within your specialization
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies, such as VMware.
- Knowledge of a Public Cloud platforms, such as AWS or Azure (preferred)
- Relevant ICT education
- Availability for on-call support outside regular working hours.
- Adherence to the organization's information security management system.
- Proficiency in Dutch.
