Support Engineer
As a Support Engineer Infrastructure, you are the (technical) point of contact for Fundaments clients. You act as the primary contact for support (1st line) and for resolving technical issues within the client environment. You have a passion for and a broad interest in technology, combined with experience in setting up and managing Cloud solutions.
You have a broad scope of work: you ensure that changes are implemented quickly and flawlessly, coordinate with Cloud Engineers, and maintain close collaboration with our clients. In this role, you are a representative of Fundaments when it comes to support. You ensure that new environments are adequately set up and delivered for both the client and Fundaments. You are also responsible for installing, uninstalling, and upgrading software on both client and Fundaments environments. You work primarily reactively; the focus is on achieving high efficiency in operational tasks.

As a Cloud & Support Engineer, you are the first point of contact for our clients. You assist them via phone and email with questions, requests, or incidents. You work in a team of driven engineers on the daily management and optimization of our cloud environments.
You are responsible for delivering client environments within our virtualization clusters and installing or upgrading various operating systems and additional software. You also independently execute changes and resolve software-related issues, ensuring clients can rely on stable and dependable service.
In addition, you play an active role in migrations between hosting environments and contribute to various internal and external projects. You carefully document technical tasks in clear work instructions and ensure they remain up to date.

- MBO4 or HBO level of education and professional ability
- Social, collegial, and professional attitude: both internally and externally
- A good sense of humor
- Willingness to pursue personal development and follow training/courses
- Experience with Linux and Windows
- Experience troubleshooting hosting environments based on, for example, Apache/MySQL/PHP
- Knowledge of Infrastructure Engineering tools, techniques, and methods within your specialization
- Knowledge of virtualization techniques, such as VMware
- Knowledge of a Public Cloud, such as AWS or Azure (preferred)
- Relevant IT education
- Availability for on-call duty outside regular working hours
- You comply with the information security management system applicable within the organization
- Good command of the English language
