Hares are being deployed to deliver packages to Fundaments customers. This has been confirmed by Raoul Werger, CEO of Fundaments. They are doing this to promote a new service in a playful way. “We actually wanted to keep it a secret for a little longer, but it leaked. We are running an Easter campaign where we use trained hares to deliver packages. It’s our CPaaS-hare campaign. We have a new service, CPaaS (Container Platform as a Service), and we want to promote it in a fun way.”
Werger explains how they came up with the idea of using hares: “A colleague mentioned that hares are easy to train and can actually deliver a package. Apparently, they do it quite often. You shouldn't think of large packages, of course, but something small they can carry in a little backpack. We found a great hare trainer who is helping us with this campaign. It’s going to be really cool. It’s a shame it’s already out, though. We would have liked to keep it a surprise. We’re keeping what the hares are delivering a secret for now.
