For several years, Fundaments has observed a strong increase in the importance of the Public Cloud as a valuable platform for hosting applications. By partnering with CloudNation—an expert and strategic knowledge partner in accelerating Public Cloud transformations—Fundaments can further strengthen and accelerate its Public Cloud proposition. While CloudNation provides technical expertise in Public Cloud platforms by designing and building environments, Fundaments complements this with managed services. Together, this forms a powerful combination for implementing a Public Cloud strategy, always secured with future-proof continuity through managed services.
Fundaments and CloudNation work closely together on IT transformation projects, both for migrating existing applications to the Public Cloud and for developing new services within it. They follow a sprint methodology. During sprint 0 (Cloud Readiness Assessment), the customer's current environment and requirements are inventoried. The first phase (Define and Design) then involves creating a backlog for automated builds in Public Clouds such as AWS, Azure, and Google. Finally, during the second phase (Build and Iterate), the established backlog is executed and the managed environment is built. This focuses on ensuring quality and consistency: scripting using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) is essential here.
The customer is at the heart of the IT transformation; ideally, sprints are executed collaboratively. This allows the customer to gain not only knowledge but also insight into the importance of shifting concepts to effectively utilize the Public Cloud. The end result is always the same: a simple, fast, and consistent deployment of a Platform as a Service where an application can be applied. After the transformation, Fundaments remains the point of contact through its experienced service desk. Services such as monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery, as well as change and incident response, together form the managed service offering.
