You will work within the Operations department in one of our multidisciplinary, client-centric teams. This team handles all client inquiries regarding our Managed Hosting & Kubernetes services. From setting up client-specific environments to resolving outages, and from handling information requests to executing migration projects. As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you are responsible for the entire lifecycle of our clients' cloud environments: from setup to management and from upgrades to decommissioning. You will resolve complex incidents, perform non-standard changes, and contribute to major client projects. You will also support Cloud & Support Engineers in their daily work.

The environments we set up and manage range from traditional setups (virtual machines with a combination of Linux, web servers, and databases) to container-based workloads (often using Kubernetes architecture or Docker containers). An increasing number of (new) clients are requesting modern, Kubernetes-based architectures or looking to transform their existing landscapes to a new platform. This is exactly where Fundaments aims to grow further.

• At least a Bachelor’s degree (HBO) level of professional ability;
• An IT-related degree;
• At least 5 years of relevant experience with (managed) hosting in Linux environments; and/or at least 5 years of experience setting up and managing Kubernetes environments;
• Experience with configuration management (Puppet, Ansible, Flux CD, Argo CD);
• CKA, RHCSA, and/or LPIC certified;
• Experience with web servers (e.g., Apache) and database servers (e.g., MySQL) is a plus;
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotations (on average 8-10 weeks per year);
• You comply with the information security management system applicable within the organization.

As a Senior Cloud Engineer at Fundaments, you will receive a gross monthly salary between €4,530 and €5,870 based on a 40-hour work week. We offer an attractive pension scheme and 25 vacation days (plus your birthday off!). You will also receive a monthly phone allowance of €25 and an internet allowance of €35.
