Cloud Engineer (Infrastructure)
Fundaments has grown significantly in recent years, is full of momentum, and has major ambitions. Our recently achieved Broadcom Pinnacle Partner status means we are set for even faster growth in the coming period. To help realize this growth, we are looking for a Cloud Engineer (Infrastructure) with a focus on VMware technology. As a Cloud Engineer at Fundaments, you will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of our clients' cloud environments: from setup to management and from upgrades to decommissioning. This primarily involves clients with a dedicated Private Cloud environment, both in our data centers and on-premises.

The environments you set up and manage can run in our data center (our own sovereign cloud), at the client's location (on-premises), or a combination of both (hybrid). The core building blocks of our IaaS services are based on VMware Cloud Foundation.
Our clients' landscapes are constantly evolving. Due to the increasing demand for sovereign cloud infrastructure and a cost-efficient, reliable alternative to the Public Cloud, we are growing in the delivery of dedicated Private Clouds. That is why we are looking for engineers to help our clients migrate and manage their cloud infrastructure.
Can you guide clients on their journey toward a future-proof cloud infrastructure? Are you not afraid to decommission legacy systems? Do you enjoy working with both physical hardware and virtualization technology? Then we are looking for you!
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional level
- An IT-related degree
- Relevant experience in infrastructure management, preferably with Dell/NetApp
- Relevant experience in virtualization management, preferably with VMware
- Experience with networking, preferably with software-defined networking concepts
- VCP, CCNP, and/or ONTAP certification is a plus
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotations (on average 8-10 times per year for one week at a time)
- You comply with the information security management system applicable within the organization.

In addition, we offer an attractive pension scheme and 25 vacation days based on a full-time contract (a nice bonus: you also get your birthday off). Finally, you will receive a monthly phone allowance of 25 euros and an internet allowance of 35 euros.
