'From Pilot to Patient Value: Lessons from Dell’s AI Journey in Healthcare'
Tuesday, April 14 at 3:15 PM in Theater 2

AI in healthcare has moved beyond the hype, yet many hospitals and healthcare organizations remain stuck between promising pilots and real impact at the bedside. At Dell, they have gone through that same journey. They have learned that sustainable AI value does not start with a model, but with reliable data, streamlined processes, and strong governance.

In this session, Lieke Hamers will show how Dell uses AI internally—from sales and support to logistics—and how these lessons are now being applied to help cure and care organizations move forward faster, but safely. During the session, you will explore how to transform fragmented data into strategic value, how to integrate AI into clinical and operational processes without placing additional burden on healthcare professionals, and how governance can act as an accelerator rather than a barrier.

You will leave with concrete principles and practical examples that you can immediately apply within your own organization, wherever you are in your AI journey.

'From Compliance Burden to Healthcare Strength: How Risk-Based Working Makes Healthcare Stronger'
Wednesday, April 15 at 3:15 PM in Theater 2

Compliance with information security often feels like a box-ticking exercise in many healthcare organizations. Yet that was never the intention of standards such as NEN 7510, ISO 27001, and the upcoming NIS2 directive.

Drawing on his experience as an auditor and advisor, Bart de Man demonstrates how risk-based working actually helps organizations prevent incidents, make audits run more smoothly, and strengthen the trust of patients and partners.

This session focuses not on theory or policy models, but on practical examples from healthcare: what works, what doesn’t, and how information security can evolve from an obligation into a tool that truly strengthens the organization—based on real experiences from audits and implementations within healthcare organizations.

'Sovereignty Is Not Just an IT Matter'
Thursday, April 16 at 1:45 PM in Theater 2

Digital sovereignty may sound like something for architects, CISOs, or legal experts, but nothing could be further from the truth. In healthcare, it affects everyone involved with data, continuity, suppliers, and patient safety. In other words: it affects you too.

In this session, Jan Vellema and Caty Hooijsma take you through an honest, sharp, and sometimes confronting reality check: who is really in control of your digital healthcare environment? And… do you dare to say that answer out loud?

What to expect:

  • Why sovereignty is not a technical exercise, but a strategic choice that impacts the entire healthcare chain
  • How to stay in control in a world of SaaS lock-ins, rising licensing costs, and complex regulations (GDPR, NIS2, foreign legislation)
  • Infinity IT’s Five-Pillar Model: a practical lens for looking at technology, data, applications, people, and operations—without sugarcoating reality
  • Why “not doing everything yourself, but still remaining in control” is the new guiding principle for modern healthcare organizations

This session is known for its interaction, sharp statements, and refreshingly down-to-earth perspective on a topic that is often made unnecessarily complex. Expect no marketing talk, but concrete insights, real-world examples, and inspiration you can act on the very same day.

Closing question from the presentation:
“After this half hour, who still dares to say their data is truly under their own control?”

Fundaments and Healthcare

At Fundaments, we support healthcare organizations in building a secure, reliable, and future-proof IT environment. In a sector where pressure continues to rise due to staff shortages, an aging population, and increasing demand for care, we ensure that technology relieves rather than hinders.

We provide a sovereign Private Cloud in which healthcare data is stored and managed entirely within the Netherlands. This helps you comply with regulations such as the GDPR and NEN 7510, while benefiting from maximum control, security, and transparency. Your data remains yours—we ensure it is always available and protected.

Together with you, we develop a cloud strategy tailored to your organization, applications, and ambitions. Whether it concerns electronic patient records, medical imaging, or other critical systems, we deliver a scalable and flexible IT environment that grows with you. This way, you only pay for what you use and maintain control over costs and performance.

Continuity of care is central to everything we do. Our infrastructure is designed for high availability and reliability, with built-in failover mechanisms and clear SLAs. This ensures your systems remain operational, even at critical moments.

In addition, we support you with our expertise in security, management, and consultancy. Our specialists actively think along with you on topics such as compliance, migrations, and innovation—not just as a supplier, but as a committed IT partner who understands your organization and its challenges.

This way, we ensure your IT foundation is rock solid, so you can fully focus on delivering the best possible care.

Will we see you there?
