Martijn Groenewegen and Sander de Rijk will discuss how the Municipality of Eindhoven implemented its cloud strategy. Key topics include Common Ground, digital sovereignty, and the growing need to gain and retain control over public data.

About Martijn

Martijn has been CIO of the Municipality of Eindhoven since January 2022. Before that, he worked for the Municipality of Rotterdam in both the service delivery and IT domains. He laid the foundation for Eindhoven’s information management strategy and invested in generic IT platforms that enable innovation in the business. Martijn focuses on strategic development and its implementation, and has been actively involved in the Common Ground movement for years. To support Common Ground within Eindhoven, he introduced a transition approach that integrates as much as possible with day-to-day operational and tactical processes.

About Sander

Sander is a Cloud Consultant for the Municipality of Eindhoven. He previously served as Operations Manager for ten years, giving him deep insight into the complexities of IT operations, finance, and infrastructure maintenance. Sander now advises and supports Eindhoven in its transition to a Multi-Cloud and Sovereign Cloud environment. His focus areas include setting up Common Ground infrastructure, public cloud integration, and the strategic positioning of data and processes.
