Fundaments donates hardware to IT students at ROC van Twente
Fundaments has made a valuable hardware donation to the Regional Education Center (ROC) of Twente. Why? Because Fundaments believes that the IT professionals of tomorrow deserve a flying start, and that begins with the right tools!
Imagine being an IT student and getting to work with a wider range of hardware brands than what is typically available in your program. That is exactly why Fundaments made this donation. Jeroen Tekelenburg, COO of Fundaments, says: “We want to ensure that the IT professionals of tomorrow are ready for the challenges of the job market. By working with different brands, students learn the ‘dialects’ of these systems. This will make them versatile IT professionals, ready for any job that comes their way!”
Getting to know diverse types of hardware
In today’s job market, there is a growing demand for well-trained IT professionals. To ensure that future IT experts can develop optimally, it is important that they gain experience with various brands and types of hardware during their studies. This ensures they are broadly employable after graduation, making them a valuable asset to potential employers.
Jeroen continues: “At Fundaments, we are always looking to the future, and we love supporting the next generation of IT talent. That is why we were delighted to donate a batch of hardware to ROC van Twente. We hope the students enjoy using it and that it helps them take their IT skills to the next level. After all, our slogan is: Go beyond. Be the best.”
Offering students more opportunities
The hardware was handed over at the beautiful Fundaments office, a historic textile villa in Enschede. Jeroen had the honor of presenting the equipment to Maarten Ferguson, a hardware instructor at ROC van Twente. Maarten says: “This allows us to offer students more opportunities, both in physical warehousing and in the technical realization of projects. It really adds significant value for the students, and we are very grateful for that.”
Jeroen has this message for the students: “We are incredibly proud of this partnership and can’t wait to see the amazing things you, the IT students, will do with this hardware. The IT world is waiting for you, so make the most of it!”
