In conversations with its partners, Fundaments, a provider of IaaS services, noticed that both the abbreviation DR and the concept of Disaster Recovery are not universally known in the market. Smaller businesses, in particular, need clarification. For instance, backup is often confused with Disaster Recovery, even though they are truly very different things. How can something so important be so unknown? In our search for the answer, we came across a blog¹ by a British DR-as-a-Service provider.
