IaaS (Infrastucture as a Service)

If new business opportunities arise, you want to respond quickly and adequately. This requires a flexible, reliable and affordable cloud infrastructure. But one without hassle and high investments. Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) from Fundaments gives you the freedom to grow based on the perfect cloud foundation.

Infrastructure as a Service

A flexible basis for growth and innovation

What is IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service)?

IaaS is an abbreviation for Infrastructure as a Service. It is one of the types to which cloud computing is often allocated, along with: PaaS and SaaS. IaaS is the bottom layer on which the infrastructure of the cloud is built. It offers the basic building blocks that you can continue to build on. IaaS consists (mostly) of virtual servers, supplemented with other building blocks such as network (connections), storage, load balancers, IP addresses, security and so on.

 All building blocks available

In the cloud world, regardless of your business model, the success of an organisation is increasingly determined by its responsiveness. How quickly do you develop applications, servers or services that make a difference to your organisation or to your customers? Without sacrificing flexibility and without high investment costs or complex management. And while maintaining full control over operating systems, storage, own applications and development. In that situation, you also want your people to be able to fully concentrate on their core activities and innovation. In short, you want a platform on which you can build your cloud service. So you look for a cloud provider in the Netherlands. You will soon end up at Fundaments.

As IaaS Vendor, Fundaments provides solid and reliable Infrastructure as a Service services from the cloud. Our IaaS services offer certified cloud building blocks such as calculation power, working memory, storage and connections. This way you can easily scale up and down on based on your specific needs, and you only pay for what you use. So you know that your customers always have a high-quality cloud infrastructure and you have good and reliable IaaS hosting.

The cloud options

To take full advantage of Fundaments IaaS, it is important that your environment is migrated to the Fundaments infrastructure. To make sure that we can support you optimally, our specialists make an analysis. This is the basis for a tailor-made cloud strategy that seamlessly matches your specific needs. This can adjusted if the circumstances change.

Fundaments offer a choice of three cloud implementation models:

Fundaments vCloud Director IaaS

The vCloud platform from Fundaments guarantees maximum flexibility and reliability. We provide guarantees for this by means of an SLA. We offer various forms of contract including all network links, storage and additional back-up and disaster recovery services. With this model you share the underlying infrastructure with other organisations. This is also called a Public Cloud. The different customer environments are, of course, separate from each other. In this way you have your own cloud environment, including security of data, systems and applications.

Fundaments Managed Private IaaS

With this model you use an environment that is set up and managed exclusively for your organisation. Fundaments guarantee maximum availability and safety of business-critical environments. This ensures that your cloud environment meets the strictest requirements regarding compliance and security. You can also rely on the knowledge and expertise of our specialists in the tailor-made design. And if the situation changes, we will help you with the right adjustments.

Fundaments VMware Integrated OpenStack IaaS

The OpenStack IaaS from Fundaments combines flexibility with a reliable SLA and professional support. VMware Integrated OpenStack (VIO) offers Enterprise class services and a robust hardware foundation. OpenStack provides an easy way to set up hybrid clouds that are linked to our existing VMware environment. An additional advantage is that OpenStack offers extensive functionality and tools for the automated rollout and control of virtual machines. This gives you a flexible and stable infrastructure platform that is enormously scalable and requires minimal management.

Service levels

The availability of the Fundaments infrastructure is guaranteed on a calendar monthly basis. The availability is 99.99%. Furthermore, we offer 24/7 support. The link to the Fundaments production infrastructure further guarantees full redundancy. We use our N+1 rule. In the event of a failure, the servers are automatically moved to another host. Your data is securely stored in Dutch data centres which, like us, meet the strict requirements of ISO 27001: 2013 and NEN7510 certification.

Trusting a partner
"Sometimes specific knowledge is imperative and it isn’t always profitable to acquire this in-house. It’s great to be able to trust a partner who takes that worry away, who’s familiar with the subject and doesn’t immediately send an invoice for every little thing. This partner will have an ongoing conversation with you: what is it you need, how can we tackle this and find a solution? That’s what Fundaments does."

Multiple physical locations
"If the customer wants to have their data stored in several physical locations in view of DR, this is possible. But whether it’s a customised option or well-planned standard options, the customer doesn’t have to worry about a thing. That’s the beauty of the new ways of BU and DR"

Good solution with less costs

Security is no.1
At Cobrowser they’ve noticed a huge difference in how companies deal with security. “There are companies who consider this not so important.
