Without the right connections you will not get into the cloud. After all, it’s the connectivity that ensures that your data ends up in the right place. Fundaments manage their own network that is cleverly distributed over various certified data centers in the Netherlands. In addition to links to the internet, Fundaments offer (private line) links via local network market places such as NDIX, GN-IX, FR-IX, R-IX ZOD-IX and EFX.

Without reliable network connectivity, a server is inaccessible. That is why we think it’s very important that these connections are of the best quality. To achieve this we implement Enterprise classified brands for hardware and ensure sufficient bandwidth and redundancy in our connections.

Without the right connections you will not get into the cloud.

As a member of RIPE, Fundaments have a private (internet) network. In addition, we have direct links with AMS-IX (link in data center Telecity II), NL-IX (link in data center Equinix EN1) and various transit parties. This way Fundaments keep maximum control over the accessibility of production environments. Redundant access is configured between all locations. Links to the Internet have been configured redundantly several times, to always ensure sufficient capacity and accessibility. An overview of the network can be found below.

Connect via LAN

If an organisation moves the servers from an office location to the Fundaments cloud location, there must be secure and reliable access. This can be done via the internet, but also via one private line or a LAN connection. Because it’s a private line, it has a higher security than the internet. That’s why you can also choose a LAN connection with us. Because Fundaments is present in many data centers, with the presence of a large number of network suppliers, it’s often easy to establish a private link. A frequently used method is linking to the EU Open network. This network can create links within data centers on so-called internet exchanges such as: NDIX, FR-IX, GN-IX, R-IX, ZOD-IX and EFX.

Trusting a partner
"Sometimes specific knowledge is imperative and it isn’t always profitable to acquire this in-house. It’s great to be able to trust a partner who takes that worry away, who’s familiar with the subject and doesn’t immediately send an invoice for every little thing. This partner will have an ongoing conversation with you: what is it you need, how can we tackle this and find a solution? That’s what Fundaments does."
Richard Hagen of the Rolf group
Multiple physical locations
"If the customer wants to have their data stored in several physical locations in view of DR, this is possible. But whether it’s a customised option or well-planned standard options, the customer doesn’t have to worry about a thing. That’s the beauty of the new ways of BU and DR"
Michel Erkens and Alexander van Bruchem of Onguard
Good solution with less costs
“When you look at the connectivity costs, meaning the private connections, as a part of migrating to the cloud, where you no longer need your own hardware or maintenance, your insurance policy is reduced, the company’s energy expenditure goes down and other expenses become smaller, you will see that this is really a good solution.”
Jeroen Bruggeman
Enterprise Administrator at CNS-IT
